Instead of a C/B chord, I used a Cmaj7, and it worked just fine, plus I think it is easier to play and makes for a much smoother transition. Other than that, nice chords.
Thanks man!

The verses are C, Em, Am. "C/B" IS cmaj7, 3rd inversion.

@Jock68 "Well Respected Man" is in C Major.2 A Led Zeppelin song that uses C, G, Am is, "Stairway to Heaven". However both of those, are more likely considered in A minor, as evidenced by the outro in "Stariway", "Am, G, F". (Am being the tonic, so i, VII, V,I repeat). In those contexts Em7 and G6 are the same chord, si it's king of moot whether you play Em or G anyway.

"Well Respected Man", is simple song, and C, Em, Am is the simplest solution.

The chorus will resolve to G, but with the F chord, it's G mixolydian. The Kinks use pseudo key changes and unresolved cadences fairly often.
